Beachside House, Bronte, Sydney Australia
Existing
Alterations and additions to a Californian bungalow on Bronte Park. The clients' brief included an extra bedroom, a study, a larger and more open living room, a feeling of beach house, catching some sunshine to rectify the garden's orientation on the south side of the house, and a carport. The proposal was to keep the existing house at the front and extend at ground level towards the park with a light timber structure with timber or plywood cladding. The skillion roof opens to the north to catch some light and sunshine.
