Conversion of a heritage listed fire station into an art gallery. The fire station was previously converted to offices and at that time one of the original arched openings previously closed with timber gates was closed with a glass door and the other one was filled with a brick wall and rectangular window above. The infill of the bricked arched opening was removed and the opening was glazed with fixed glass to showcase the work of the different artists exhibiting at the gallery. New mobile walls were added to the internal space to add hanging space. Other minor renovations were done internally and other proposals remain unbuilt. Visit www.artereal.com.au .
