This proposal is for the redesign of Sydney's Town Hall precinct, with the creation of a new Sydney Forum, a new public urban place for gathering. The masterplan incorporates immediate and longer term works, including separation of the Town Hall House physically from the historic Town Hall, and adding new accomodations with a glassy transparent character. The City Archive is placed beneath the existing Sydney Square, and the new Forum accomodates the future Office for Metropolitan Affairs, Sydney's new central design coordination authority.
